Welcome to North Idaho Wellness & Judo!
We focus on building strong, resilient bodies through intelligent movement, martial arts training, and practical wellness strategies. Our programs are designed to support joint health, enhance mobility, and improve functional strength so you can move with confidence; on the mat and in everyday life.
By combining traditional judo with modern movement principles, we help you develop balance, coordination, flexibility, and joint stability while promoting recovery and long-term performance. Whether your goal is athletic development, improved mobility, or simply feeling better in your body, our approach emphasizes sustainable progress, efficient movement, and whole body wellness.
Train with purpose. Move better. Build durability for life.
At North Idaho Wellness & Judo, joint mobilization techniques are used as part of movement education and training support to help increase joint motion and improve how joints move during activity. These methods emphasize hands-on movement assistance, assisted mobility, and active control to support joint function, coordination, and stability.
Particular attention may be given to commonly stressed areas such as the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles to encourage smoother, more efficient movement patterns during training and daily activities.
Traditional tools such as Manaka hammer and needle techniques, along with moxibox use, may also be incorporated as part of our wellness practices.
These techniques provide gentle mechanical and sensory input intended to help reduce muscle related tension, support comfort, and promote relaxation and recovery following physical activity.

When used, they are applied in a non-medical context to support circulation, neuromuscular function, and the body’s natural ability to adapt to training stress.
We offer traditional bone-setting, seikotsu, a folk medicine practice with roots going back thousands of years -predating modern methods. This practice has strong overlap with Judo, and its parent martial art, Jujutsu.
Our services are provided for general wellness, comfort, and mobility. We do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. These practices are designed to complement an active lifestyle and are not a substitute for medical care.
We will refer persons seeking medical treatment to our friends in the medical and Chiropractic fields, which we believe are the best in the business.

Traditional Japanese Jujutsu
Traditional Japanese Jujutsu is for adults only.
We use the black gi (uniform) for students of Jujutsu.
Jujutsu, through teaching techniques which cause very severe injury, is intended to teach a student responsibility, conscientiousness, morality, and character development for personal betterment.
A background check is required for this second type, and a written paper on why one wishes to learn it. The student of Traditional Japanese Jujutsu must first learn from us the traditional methods used to resuscitate, basic reset of joints and bones, and must have a valid CPR certificate.
